What to include

• Your agency and its jurisdiction.
• The name, title and contact details of the requesting officer.
• The legal process you are relying on (warrant, court order, subpoena), attached.
• The account identifiers you are asking about — username, email address, or the specific content URLs.

Legal process and emergencies

We require valid legal process. Emergency requests involving imminent danger of death or serious physical injury are prioritized. If you have one, mark it EMERGENCY in the subject line.

Preservation requests

On receipt of a governmental preservation request under 18 U.S.C. § 2703(f), we preserve the identified records for 90 days. We can extend that for one additional 90-day period on a renewed request.

Removal requests

Individuals asking for an intimate image or copyrighted material to be removed should use the removal request form.
